Northwest Central Illinois Works Names Officers for 2017

Northwest Central Illinois Works (NCI Works) recently elected officers for 2017. Co-Chairs named for the one-year term will be Linda Burt, St. Margaret’s Health and Cary Robbins, Sterling Steel. Serving as Vice-Chair will be Debbie Clausen of LMK Technologies and Mary Boogemans of Advantage Logistics will serve as Secretary.

NCI Works is responsible for planning and coordinating the community’s resources into a workforce development system under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act. The board is comprised of private business representatives, local labor representatives, economic development professionals and members from public agencies and educational institutions. The board is responsible for establishing a workforce development system for the 8-county area that includes the selection of service and training providers, budgeting for the system, overseeing the various programs carried out by the system, and providing strategic planning for workforce development.
