Position Summary:   

Directly responsible for the overall administration and coordination of the Human Resource function.  Administers and develops various Human Resource plans and procedures for the Distribution Center, contributing to the profitability of the Company by maximizing the efficiency of the Distribution Center operations. 

Primary Responsibilities:

·         Plans, organizes and controls all activities of the department and participates in developing department and building goals and objectives.

·         Manages the overall employment process for the Distribution Center, ensuring adherence to Company policies/procedures and state and federal guidelines.

·         Efficient and timely recruitment and hiring of executives and associates according to the workflow requirements of the Distribution Center operation to meet planned UPH, CPU, level of service and accuracy standards.

·         Assists in development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures.

·         Administers compensation programs for exempt and non-exempt associates in the Distribution Center; monitors performance evaluation programs and conducts annual salary surveys.

·         Coordinates Company benefits programs.

·         Assures compliance with all state and federal guidelines, laws and regulations.

·         Performs associate relation counseling and exit interviewing.

·         Maintains effective communication with all levels of the Distribution Center and Corporate Office to ensure productivity, morale and performance of executives and associates.

·         Develops and maintains positive associate relations and recognition programs within the Distribution Center.

·         Development and administration of training and development programs for executives and associates within the Distribution Center.

·         Monitors workers compensation claims and budgets; coordinates safety programs within the Distribution Center.

·         Monitors unemployment claims and appeals when necessary.

·         Effectively manages payroll and expenses.

Preferred Qualifications:

·         Multiple years of related experience with direct Human Resource management responsibilities including compensation/benefits, associate relations and workers compensation/safety.

·         Strong interpersonal skills.

·         Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

·         Flexibility in hours to support multi-shift operation.
